Under the leadership of Haven Lin-Kirk, Dean of Design, USC piloted a spring undergraduate design seminar in collaboration with Blue Sky Center, exploring way-finding, branding, and information-sharing across the rural landscape. Led by artist and Blue Sky Center board member, Eric Junker and Sherin Guirguis, the pilot course was the first step in developing collaborative educational programs that bring academic institutions interested in working in rural communities to the Cuyama Valley.
Beginning fall 2019, Blue Sky Center will host a group of graduate students from USC Roski in the Cuyama Valley to carry out community-based town beautification projects with the local school district.
